March 25, 2008 Dear Community Leader: With discussions at the Statehouse continuing to revolve around passing a capital plan this year, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a Capital Roundtable Discussion Monday, March 31st at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Macomb City Hall (232 East Jackson St., Macomb, IL). We have not had a capital plan for a number of years and our area’s infrastructure needs continue to increase. Local projects to be discussed Monday include Highways 336, 67, and 34; Western Illinois University improvements; infrastructure projects for our local communities; and the critical need to match several pending Federal grants. The purpose of this event is to hear from area leaders, like you, so that we can best address our districts needs and the importance of having a Capital Program this year.
