Rep. Tracy: Federal Funds Available for Local Flood Victims For Immediate Release June 27, 2008 Quincy, IL…Families and residents of Adams and Hancock Counties who have been victims of the recent floods can now begin to apply for federal assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On Thursday, State Representative Jil Tracy announced that Adams and Hancock Counties have officially been declared federal disaster areas, meaning residents will be eligible for individual assistance. “The residents of Adams and Hancock Counties whose homes or businesses were damaged or destroyed by the recent flood can now apply for federal funds in order to rebuild, repair and cleanup their property. This will truly help those most devastated by the flood waters and hopefully alleviate some of the financial stress associated with these types of disasters,” said Rep. Tracy.
