Rep. Tracy Proud to Designate Hwy. 24 as “Veterans Medal of Honor Highway"

Quincy, IL… State Representatives Jil Tracy (R-Mt. Sterling) was on hand Monday morning for the designation of Hwy 24 north of Quincy as Veterans Medal of Honor Highway. The unveiling ceremony took place at the Quincy Veterans Home, Lippincott hall and was attended by Rep. Jil Tracy, Sen. John Sullivan, Quincy Mayor John Spring, IDOT Deputy Director Roy Dolges and District 6 Deputy Director Roger Driskell along with area veterans and their families.

“Today as we officially designate Highway 24 North of Quincy as the Veterans Medal of Honor Highway I am proud and honored to have this designation of a highway within my district,” said Tracy. “This is not an event that just happened overnight and I would like to thank Mr. Albert Sohn for his years of service to our Nation and to this goal,” said Rep. Jil Tracy. Rep. Jil Tracy’s office has been working with local constituents to achieve this designation since she was first sworn in three years ago.
